The company that is now Robert Roberts was founded in 1843. At this time Baker Wardell was an independent tea blender. In 1971 Baker Wardell acquired the Robert Roberts coffee business. From here we saw the development of United Biscuits nuts & snacks sales and marketing in 1976.
It was not until 1988 that the business truly diversified with the acquisition of Woodford Bourne and then in 2008, the merge with Findlater Grants, our wine division became Findlater Wine & Spirit Group.
Our company has always been focused on providing an unrivalled value added service to our customers and principals. Today the company’s portfolio of products is made up of a compatible synergistic mix of grocery and impulse brands covering the island of Ireland.

- Sales, Marketing & Distribution
- Findlater Wine & Spirit Group
The business units are underpinned by an excellent supply chain, finance and administration infrastructure with our head office located in Tallaght since 1990. Every week, this infrastructure supports the delivery of 2,500 orders to our 4,500 customers providing an unequalled depth of distribution across every trade channel on the island of Ireland.
The company is now wholly owned by DCC plc, one of Ireland’s largest public companies.
