Love Irish Food
Robert Roberts are proud supporters of the Love Irish Food movement. The criteria for being part of Love Irish Food is that "the product is manufactured in the Republic of Ireland and … that the brand uses ingredients from Ireland where these are available." Although by necessity, we import our tea & coffee raw materials, all recipe formulation and manufacturing takes place in Ireland. When you buy a Robert Roberts tea or coffee, you can be confident that you are supporting a range of jobs that would not exist if you purchased a product manufactured in the UK, for example a Twinings or Lyons Tea.
For example, as a direct result of the fact that the product is manufactured (not just sold) in Ireland, you are supporting the following jobs (amongst others) with your purchase.
- The Robert Roberts Company – 201 Jobs – including manufacturing, product development, quality control, warehousing, sales, marketing, finance etc
- Huguenot Xmi – our packaging designers in Dublin 2
- Smurfit Kappa– our cardboard suppliers in Walkinstown, Dublin 12
